Maison Source operates a curated trade platform connecting verified interior design studios with independent furniture makers. These terms govern your use of our platform as either a Studio (trade buyer) or Maker (supplier).

Who we serve

Maison Source is exclusively for verified trade professionals:

  • Studios: Registered interior design studios, architects, and hospitality procurement professionals
  • Makers: Independent furniture makers and lighting specialists offering trade pricing

Consumers and non-trade users are not permitted access.

Platform role

Maison Source acts as a curated introduction service between verified Studios and Makers:

  • We do not take title to goods or act as retailer
  • We do not handle physical fulfilment or logistics
  • We facilitate connections, trade pricing access, and project brief matching

All commercial agreements occur directly between Studios and Makers

Account creation & verification

Studio accounts

  • Studios must complete our verification process (business name, website, portfolio review)
  • Access granted only after manual approval by Maison Source (typically 24-48 hours)
  • Trade pricing visible only to verified Studio accounts

Maker applications

  • Makers apply via our “List Your Brand” form
  • Applications reviewed for aesthetic fit, production capacity, and trade pricing commitment.

Approved Makers receive vendor dashboard access via MarketKing.

Account responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate business information
  • You must maintain confidentiality of other users’ contact details
  • You must not share login credentials

Trade pricing requirement

Makers must:

  • Offer genuine trade pricing (minimum 25% below RRP, verifiable)
  • Maintain consistent stock availability and lead times as published
  • Provide finish/material samples on request (charges may apply)
  • Respond to Studio enquiries within 48 hours

Studios must:

  • Use platform only for legitimate trade projects
  • Respect Maker lead times and minimum order quantities

Not resell products to consumers via third-party channels

On-platform communication

All business discussions must occur through Maison Source:

  • No direct sharing of contact details (email, WhatsApp, phone) during discovery phase
  • No off-platform payment arrangements or order confirmations
  • Violations result in immediate account suspension

Once a Studio and Maker mutually agree to work together, they may move discussions off-platform with our knowledge.

Orders & payments

  • Maison Source does not process payments or issue invoices
  • Studios place orders directly with Makers
  • Makers issue invoices directly to Studios
  • Payment terms negotiated directly between parties
  • We provide no payment protection or guarantees

Intellectual property

  • Product images belong to Makers (Studios may use for internal project specification only)
  • Studio project photos may be featured on our platform with permission

No user may use Maison Source branding without written consent

Content standards

You agree not to post:

  • Misleading product specifications or availability
  • Consumer/retail pricing (trade-only pricing required)
  • Content infringing third-party IP rights
  • Spam, unrelated promotions, or competitor links

We reserve the right to edit or remove content that doesn’t align with our curated aesthetic.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for:

  • Breach of trade-only requirements
  • Off-platform circumvention
  • Repeated unresponsiveness to enquiries
  • Misrepresentation of business credentials

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Maison Source excludes all liability for goods, delivery, or commercial disputes
  • We provide no warranties regarding Maker capacity or Studio project outcomes
  • Our total liability shall not exceed fees paid to us (if any) in the preceding 12 months

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.
